A bathroom leak will generally show up as ongoing damage to the bathroom surrounds. Swollen skirting/floor boards, swollen/water-logged tiles, stained/damaged plaster, wet carpet and even a damp/mouldy smell are all signs of a leaking bathroom.
A kitchen leak will show up similar to a bathroom leak and any non-pressure house leak with signs of stained/ damaged plaster walls/cornice/ceiling, wet carpet/floorboards, swollen skirting boards and damp/mouldy smells.
A laundry leak show up similar to a bathroom leak and any non-pressure house leak with signs of stained/damaged plaster walls/cornice/ceiling, wet carpet/floorboards, swollen skirting boards and damp/mouldy smells.
A balcony leak will show up similar to any general non-pressure house leak with signs of stained/damaged plaster walls/cornice/ceiling, wet carpet/floorboards, swollen skirting boards and damp/mouldy smells.
A window leak is similar to balcony leak and is dependent on the construction of the building with the way it will show itself. Typical evidence of a window leak is damaged flooring, stained walls and swollen skirting boards/floorboards.
A basement leak can appear in many different forms. Efflorescence on walls, stalactites and stalagmites on the ceiling and floor, random stains/ wet patches on the floor/ ceiling/ walls.
Locating a below-ground burst pipe to all types of water lines whether it be copper, galvanised iron, black poly or pressure PVC. In most cases we can also identify the location of the pipeline to provide a more cost effective solution for the leak repairs.
Irrigation, bore and tank water:
Low pressure irrigation leaks, bore water leaks and tank water leaks can sometimes be the most difficult to locate, these leaks don't show the signs of a typical pressure leak although they can still be located and marked for ease of repair.
Sewer and Stormwater:
Sewer and stormwater leaks may not be identified until damage has been ongoing for years and caused significant structural issues to the dwelling/premises.
An Aggi-pipe leak, stormwater leak and sewer leak can all be identified using a CCTV camera and many techniques developed over years of using these handy machines.
A CCTV camera inspection can be carried out to the entire premises or isolated to individual lines depending on the situation.
A mud map and comprehensive report on leak locations/ pipeline conditions will always be provided with a CCTV camera inspection by Hydrotek along with the footage of the pipe/s on a USB.
A pipeline location can be carried out to all types of pipes whether it be copper, galvanised iron, black poly or pressure PVC. Sewer and Stormwater pipe can also be located to identify the location of any Inspection openings (I.O), boundary shafts or lead off points.

We provide a written description including captioned photos of all identified faults and suggestions on how to rectify the problem whether it be short-term, long-term or it be a job for another contractor. With our report every contractor can have a clear description of the issue and what will be needed to rectify the issue.
Pre-purchase plumbing inspections:
Much like a Pre-purchase building and pest inspection a pre-purchase plumbing inspection is something that is often looked past but absolutely necessary if you are paying good money for your new home.
If there are large, intrusive trees in the yard or concerns about damp areas of the dream home you are about to purchase you don't want to have to foot the bill for a leak that could have been occurring for years prior (and possibly the reason the house is being sold in the first place).
A pre-purchase plumbing inspection will give a detailed description to the condition of all sewer, stormwater, hot and cold water supply lines. Drainage issues will also be identified and pointed out in the report.
A comprehensive report, and mud map will be provided along with detailed descriptions of each identified fault. The CCTV footage will also be provided on a USB for your reference.
